Frederick William Newman (February 21, 1942, in Boston, Massachusetts – June 24, 1987) was a Major League Baseball pitcher. He played his entire 6-year baseball career for the Los Angeles and California Angels. Newman was originally signed by the Boston Red Sox as an amateur free agent when he graduated from Brookline High School in 1960.
Newman died in an automobile accident in Framingham, Massachusetts.
